Implementation & Design Team

Medfusion's Implementation & Design Team is led by Janis Newcomb, MPA. Janis supports her team with over 10 years of healthcare practice management experience, having specialty specific experience in Cardiology, Urology, Ear, Nose & Throat, and Plastic Surgery. She offers her hands-on knowledge of office processes when implementing the online solutions that will add efficiency and increased patient access to the daily operations of our clients. Medfusion's Implementation & Design Team continues to grow to support the increased demand for our services, offering implementation and support services by coordinators and product specialists that also have a strong healthcare background prior to making the transition into online healthcare with Medfusion. Our design team offers new and fresh looking website designs, while helping clients with customization that gives each client their own personalized web presence. (Ask About our new Design Center.)

Finance and Administration

Dan Edelson is the Chief Financial Officer of Medfusion, assisting the company with business strategy, operational finance, and human resource issues. Dan’s experience includes nearly 17 years in a variety of financial roles at IBM, 5 years as partner of an early-stage venture capital firm, and several years assisting start-up companies as an independent consultant. He holds an M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and a B.S. in accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dan is a current board member and Treasurer of the Mariposa School for Children with Autism and former board member of BayMountain Inc., and FullSeven Technologies, Inc.

Sales Team

Medfusion’s experienced, confident, and successful sales team covers the nation from strategic locations. In addition, Medfusion has partnered with dozens of marketing agents, consultants, and VARs throughout the country. The team is headed by Dick Pedersen, who brings twenty-five years of selling experience to the ever-changing healthcare marketplace.

Dick has managed or owned successful VARs that were focused on practice management and electronic medical records; however, he now says, “secure portal software through your practice’s website is one of the most exciting improvements that a practice can provide to better serve their patients.” Dick is uniquely qualified to lead sales for a company that offers consulting, software, training, implementation, and support for world class websites and other internet services for the healthcare industry.

Technology Team

Medfusion develops and maintains award winning products with a professional staff experienced in design and development of web based applications. The technology team supports product development with innovative and cost effective technologies. The team is led by Vikram Natarajan who has been with the company since its inception. Vikram leads a team of architects, developers, user interface specialists, database specialists and quality assurance staff.

The Medfusion applications are built on J2EE based technologies. The team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of these applications including the operation of Medfusion’s own Network Operation Center.

The Medfusion technology team consistently strives for an innovative, reliable and highly available suite of software applications.
